Wyze App Platform - "Duncan Watch CCTV"
Duncan Watch Group launched a useful and successful CCTV tool in order to maintain an active and more watchful eye over our community. "Duncan Watch CCTV" is intended help serve as an “Early Warning” for suspicious persons roaming the area by alerting all active Wyze App participants and also provide each with the ability to independently view live camera streams, review and download recorded events, and share any captured footage. The Wyze cross platform software and Wyze personal user account is FREE to our members!
To join, individuals must register at http://www.duncanwatch.com/join . All “Duncan Watch CCTV” users agree to adhere to the rules set forth by this group’s members.
To Install the Wyze App:

Once installed, open the app and locate the link under the login which states “New user or Create An Account” and follow the prompts to create your personal account. You will be asked to provide an email address and password of your choosing. (Should you see any ads or pop up solicitations pertaining to a subscription, simply bypass it as Duncan Watch has already paid for the first year of Cam Plus AI covering up to 99 cameras.)
Contact the “Duncan Watch Admin” via a private message using our WhatsApp platform and provide us with the email address you used to create your Wyze personal account. Upon acceptance, access to Duncan Watch Shared User account shall be granted and you will be prompted within your Wyze app to accept the invitation(s) .
4. Create a Group of Devices within your Wyze App:
Tap Home, then the + plus sign on the top left.
Tap "Add Device Group".
Select "Camera Group".
Enter the name "Duncan Watch" for the group at the top of the screen.
Add a checkmark next to every device you want in the group.
Once the selected cameras have been added, "Press and Drag" the three horizontal lines icon next each device upwards or downwards to rearrange them. Arrange cameras into order, i.e. 1D, 2D, 3D, etc. as if you were walking from one end of the street to the next. This will help when you're viewing live feed activity and will not need to skip around from camera to camera to follow any events.
Tap Done on the top right.
5. Moving forward, each new camera installed will also be shared with you automatically, once more simply prompting you to accept each additional device. However, this time you will need to add the new camera to your existing group.
6. To edit a group of devices:
Tap Home, then the group name.
Tap the settings gear icon on the top right.
To rename a group:
Tap Name at the top of the screen.
Enter the name in the window, then tap OK.
To reorder devices in a group
Tap [Devices] in Group (ex. Cameras in Group).
Press and drag the three horizontal lines icon next each device you want to rearrange.
Tap Save.
To remove devices in a group
Tap [Devices] in Group (ex. Cameras in Group).
Tap the red icon next to the device you want to remove.
Tap Save.
7. Remember to never push the "on/off" toggle circle to the right of any camera not in a group. Doing so will disable it for everyone.
8. Viewing Event Videos:
Depending on your Event recording settings, you may have a lot of videos sent your way. There are a few ways to watch and sort them all.
From a Push Notification:
From your mobile device, tap on the push notification that you received.
You'll only receive a notification if you have push notifications enabled for Event videos.
This will open the Wyze app and take you directly to the Event video.
In the Wyze app, tap Events.
Scroll through the Event videos, and tap on the specific video you want to view.
Have a lot of Event videos to scroll through? You'll have to filter out the extras.
On the Events tab, tap the funnel on the top right to Filter by Person, Motion, and Camera.
Sort by Camera(s):
Check the box next to the specific camera(s) you want to view Events from.
Tap Show Results.
Sort by Cam Plus filters (only available to Cam Plus subscribers)
Check the box next to the specific type of detection(s) in your Events.
You can filter to view only Person, Package, and Pet detection.
Tap Show Results.
Participant Reporting:
All members must be active participants, assist in keeping a more watchful eye over our community with the assistance of the Wyze app, and reporting such information deemed pertinent/necessary for the group’s collective awareness/knowledge.
In the event of live/current alerts from the Wyze App which you have reviewed, and/or any later review of any recorded events you notice any suspicious activity, criminal matters, and/or emergency situations, each should first be reported to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Alert your neighbors utilizing our Duncan Watch WhatsApp Group by sharing pertinent camera footage of the event(s) from the Duncan Watch CCTV Wyze app including a short yet descriptive narrative of Who, What, Where, When, and the actions you have already taken (i.e reporting to the proper authorities and/or any corresponding incident/case number).
OPT-IN Camera Installation Location:
Prerequisites:
1A) Owner occupied property location: Owner solely accepts any/all such related liability therein with/to related installation, use, possession, maintenance, relocation, removal, etc.
1B) Tennant occupied property location: Tenant must have prior written consent from property owner for the installation of a camera and Tenant solely accepts any/all such related liability therein with/to related installation, use, possession, maintenance, relocation, removal, etc.
Property Occupant to provide stable WiFi internet access at sole and sperate expense for and throughout the duration location shall be deemed part of Duncan Watch CCTV.
Property Occupant to provide appropriate power supply (consult with a professional electrician regarding site particular options & any potential safety/fire hazards) to/at location of camera installation at sole and sperate expense for and throughout the duration location shall be deemed part of Duncan Watch CCTV.
Property Occupant shall maintain camera in good working condition as deemed necessary by the Duncan Watch Group Admins, report any/all issues which may concern the condition of the camera (including but not limited, physical condition, changes to Wifi status, SSID, and/or password, Occupant moving, etc.), and assist as deemed necessary at anytime said device requires any physical intervention (i.e. installation, relocation, adjustment, reset, etc.).
Property Occupant may OPT-OUT from being a Duncan Watch CCTV Location at anytime by removing any/all installed equipment at sole and separate expense, and returning any/all Duncan Watch Group provided equipment to the Duncan Watch Admin.

Duncan Watch Group has no direct nor indirect affiliation with Wyze© / Wyze Lab Inc.; ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. Each End-User elects to accept or deny any/all terms/conditions direct with service provider, apart from Duncan Watch, and utilize any/all software/devices at their own sole and separate risk.
“Duncan Watch CCTV” is not and shall not be deemed nor considered a form of security, system, service, nor protection of any kind.
Related cameras / equipment / technology / software / app alerts / notifications / settings / stream footage / recordings are not guaranteed to function, to be accurate, nor to be relied on in any way nor at any time.
Duncan Watch CCTV Members can only be community residents and active participants of the Duncan Watch Group. Duncan Watch Group membership/participation is strictly voluntary and accepted at individual(s) sole discretion and risk. Duncan Watch CCTV Members are not required to install a camera at their property in order to participate (refer to Item #8).
Sharing of any camera footage/information shall only be deemed authorized amongst Duncan Watch Group Members and State/Local Law Enforcement Agencies only. Any misuse and/or unauthorized sharing of footage/information shall result in immediate expulsion and/or possible legal action.
Detection alarms are based on a schedule so that notifications are muted during the day and only alerting at night.
Cameras have the ability to record sound, however for legality reasons and private privacy concerns, sound recording has been and will continue to be disabled within the Duncan Watch Wyze App Admin account.
